From ideas to impact

Our vision

In the School of Computing and Augmented Intelligence, or SCAI, we imagine a world powered by trustworthy, real-time information where data is thoughtfully collected, securely managed, and transformed into insights that inform decisions, drive innovation and improve everyday life.

Our school is a collaborative, forward-looking community recognized internationally for shaping the future of an information-driven society. For students, SCAI is a place to gain the technical expertise, creativity and critical thinking skills needed to make a meaningful impact in industry, research, entrepreneurship or public service.

We are a community of scholars working across disciplines to tackle society’s most pressing challenges. Through hands-on research, close faculty mentorship, and a culture of curiosity and cooperation, we support the intellectual growth of our students and help them turn bold ideas into real-world solutions.

Our mission

SCAI is a vibrant community of faculty members, staff and students working across the full spectrum of computing and information sciences and engineering. Our academic strengths span computer science, computer systems engineering, data science and analytics, engineering management, industrial engineering, informatics, robotics and autonomous systems and software engineering.

From foundational ideas to real-world applications, our mission is to benefit society through outstanding education, impactful research and leadership in service to our professions and communities. Students learn in an environment that values multidisciplinary teamwork and hands-on problem solving.

By advancing knowledge and practice in computing, information and decision technologies, SCAI prepares graduates to lead, innovate, and make a positive difference in an increasingly data-driven world.
