This program is designed to take place during the first two weeks of the new employee\u2019s start date. The content is customized to each role, while including several standard materials such as a presentation and resource list. After your new employee completes the initial orientation slide deck (within the first couple of days on the job), several members of ETS will schedule meetings based on the employee\u2019s availability. In these sessions, team members will personally welcome your new recruit and orient them to the IT framework at Fulton. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The IT Onboarding Program covers the following:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>IT Organizational structure (including <a href=\"https:\/\/prod-pitchfork.fsewp.asu.edu\/ets\/\">Engineering Technical Services<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/prod-pitchfork.fsewp.asu.edu\/ets\/school-it-teams\/\">Fulton Schools IT<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/tech.asu.edu\/\">Enterprise Technology<\/a>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>IT Code of Ethics at ASU<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Services and roles of the various IT organizations throughout ASU<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Responsibilities of the employee in using these services<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Physical and system-based access<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>During the onboarding process, the employee will meet with representatives from ETS who will provide details on the following areas of responsibility:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Clients Orchestration<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Maintains Windows &amp; Apple Classrooms and Labs in collaboration with each Schools\u2019 IT\/Lab Managers and Faculty.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support includes Hardware Servicing &amp; Upgrades, Application Packaging, Deployment Planning, and responding to Service Requests.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Systems Orchestration<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provides Windows, Apple, &amp; iOS System Management services like OS Deployments, Security Policies, Patching, Inventory, Reporting, Asset Management, and anti-malware Protection.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Works with Enterprise Technology to provide Directory services, Storage (locally and Dropbox), and SharePoint Collaboration services.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provides support for all Applications and Services (Cloud or Hosted) \u2014 including Purchasing support, Security Reviews, Licensing and License Managers, Deployment, Monitoring, and Usage Metering. Also provides Enterprise SQL services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Linux Desktop Support<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provides Linux systems support and installation for individual desktops.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintains Linux systems in Labs in collaboration with each Schools\u2019 IT\/Lab Managers and Faculty.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provides System Management services for Linux systems, including Patching, Application Deployment, Usage Metering, and Multiple OS Support.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Web Development<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provides technology solutions and support for Engineering, ranging from customized web applications to third-party cloud-based solutions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provides business process improvement support.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Server Virtualization &amp; Security Response<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provides virtual servers that are used to support research, classroom instruction, and Infrastructure support systems.
