Resources for prospective, admitted and current online students

Thank you for your interest in ASU’s electrical engineering program via online delivery!

Step 1: Learn about requirements

The School of Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering is part of the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering.

To be admitted, you must meet the requirements specified by the Fulton Schools.

Step 2: Register for an information session

Register for and participate in the prospective student Zoom information session by calling (480) 965-3424 or emailing us at [email protected] to register! The session is about an hour and is led by a professional academic advisor with Q&A after the presentation. Following active participation in the session, students receive individualized feedback regarding next steps.

Step 3: Apply to ASU

In order to receive individualized feedback, students must be officially admitted to ASU and all official transcripts must be on file. General information is sent to those students who are not yet admitted.

Step 4: Watch the prospective student introduction video

IMPORTANT: In order to receive advisor assistance, students must actively participate in the prospective student Zoom session. Viewing this recording is for informational purposes only, and students do not receive individualized feedback.

Congratulations on your admission to ASU Online! Follow these next steps to get ready for your future as a Sun Devil.

Step 1:

Contact the advising center to register and participate in the new online student registration session (via Zoom) with a professional academic advisor. The session is about one hour with Q&A following the presentation. Participating in this interactive session is a student’s first academic advising experience and is an important step for all students. The session covers the electrical engineering curriculum, resources and more. Students who actively participate receive individualized feedback from their newly assigned academic advisor. Call us at (480) 965-3424 or email us at [email protected] to register.

Step 2:

It is strongly recommended that transfer students register for a free 6-day ASU Online workshop numbered ASU 09, 10, 11 or 42. This workshop is a helpful tool to assist students in acclimating to ASU and the online classroom.

Step 3:

Watch the new online student webinar recording. IMPORTANT: Viewing this recorded session is not a substitute for required participation in the advisor-led Zoom session. After attending the advisor-led session, students receive individualized reviews of their specific scenario, whether a first-year or transfer student, and their next steps. In order to meet with an advisor, all new online students must attend the advisor-led Zoom session.
