Electronic communications

Electronic communications describes any facet of electrical engineering related to transmitting information from one place to another. The field is vast and includes algorithms for data delivery, cellular networks, radar, satellites, the chips that run all of this technology and more. Examples of research conducted at ASU in the field include new kinds of semiconductor chips that are more efficient and have a greater variety of uses for communications than those currently available and increasing the speed of data transmission for time-sensitive systems such as autonomous vehicles.
