Ahmed Aljohani

As an international student, Ahmed Aljohani had the chance to attend several institutions in different locations before moving to the desert and transferring to ASU in the fall of 2020.

His passion for electrical technology and his interest in learning coding skills made electrical engineering the perfect major for him. Ahmed chose to follow his dream at ASU, as his goal is not only to get the most out of his classes, but also to gain as much hands-on experience as possible. For him, there is no better place to achieve that than the university with the most innovative status: ASU.

Ahmed works with several organizations that aim to make international students’ transition and move to Arizona easier and more pleasant. His plan after obtaining a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is to get a master’s degree in computer engineering.

Ahmed’s advice for students:

“Make the most out of being an ASU student, and expand your knowledge beyond the classroom by attending as many events, workshops and career fairs as possible to improve yourself from day one. Also, remember to enjoy the journey as much as the destination.”
