Flexible learning experiences
With offerings for FIRST® LEGO® League Discover to FIRST® Tech Challenge, class packs provide educators and communities with flexible, high-quality STEM learning experiences for PreK–12 students in the classroom or structured after-school programs.
Students participating in a FIRST® class pack program experience project-based learning with partnerships involving community members, focusing on rigor, relevance and relationships.
Each program aligns with several national standards: 21st Century Skills, Common Core State Standards (ELA & Math), Computer Science Teachers Association, or CSTA, Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and more.
In addition, digital resources are provided for flexible remote learning opportunities.
Because class packs are considered curriculum, school funding can be used to purchase kits.
Each class pack includes guides for hosting a local competition between class pack teams, engineering notebooks that guide students through the design process and themed competition pieces.
